There are Three Steps to Complete an Online Report

1. Determine if Online Reporting is Appropriate for Your Situation. If you cannot use the online reporting system, you may call or stop in at the Dover Police Department.

2. Complete the Online Form. Gather support documentation that may help you complete the online form. Documents cannot be submitted online but you may be asked at a later date to forward copies to the Police Department. Fill out each field to the best of your knowledge. It is okay to leave fields blank except for those indicated as mandatory by red type color and an asterisk. There are also required checkboxes adjacent to statements.

3. Submit Your Report. After reviewing your report, click the SUBMIT MY REPORT button at the bottom of the page.

Some Suggested Crime/Incident Types You Can Report Online

Animal Complaint - non-injury related complaints i.e., a nuisance dog or other animal nuisance that is not in progress.

Criminal Mischief (vandalism) - damaged property (not in progress) valued at less than $500. For in progress vandalism, please call 911. What is criminal mischief?

Disturbance - not in progress disturbances where the behavior is no immediate threat to person(s) or property. Because of the traditionally violent nature of "domestic disturbances", we require you to see an officer in person. If you are a victim of domestic abuse or in danger of being harmed, call 911 from a safe place right away!

Fraud - report a fraud where the value of your loss does not exceed $500.

Harassment (unwanted communication) - unwanted communication from person(s). Do not use this classification to report criminal threatening. If you receive a threat against you or another person, call the Dover Police at (603)742-4646. If the threat is imminent, call 911 from a safe place right away!

Littering - report the presence of litter or illegal dumping that is not in progress. Call Dover Police at (603)742-4646 for in progress littering.

Lost Property - report lost property where the value of your loss does not exceed $500.

Parking Complaint - report a parking complaint. Please call the Dover Police at (603)742-4646 for in progress parking violations.

Suspicious Activity - report not in progress suspicious activity, i.e., person(s) lurking or hanging around and acting suspicously. Do not report suspicious packages online - please call Dover Police at (603)742-4646 or call 911 if you have reason to believe a suspicious package may pose a threat to individuals and/or property.

Theft - report a theft of your personal property with a combined value less than $500. Do not use the online reporting system to report a burglary or robbery. If you believe your property has been burglarized or you or another person has been robbed, immediately notify the Dover Police using a safe location to make the call.
